Essential Functions:

We are looking for various Maintenance Technicians to work with a client located in Michigan as a direct hire. The client is a well-known manufactured ductile iron castings.

Job Requirements & Specifications

  • Mexican passport with at least 1 year of validity.
  • Maintenance Technician degree or bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Cedula professional on hand (not in process).
  • Titulo Universitario on hand (not in process).
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • No previous immigration issues.
  • The applicant should have the ability to walk, stand, and bend most of the day.
  • English is a requirement.
  • Maintenance aptitude and experience are a bonus.
  • Work schedule: 2nd Shift (2:00 pm -10:30 pm) 3rd Shift (10:00 pm – 6:30 am)
  • 40 of vacation in the first year. 80 hours of vacation starting Jan 2025. Medical benefits, insurance, 401k, Twelve paid holidays per year.
  • Housing: The client has purchased a home close to the plant that would be available for re-located employees at a very reasonable The client will work out a transition plan / initial rent coverage once we identify employees.
  • One flight from Mexico to Michigan.
  • Annual tool allowance of $400 + additional $250 first

Position Summary

Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

  • Advanced Welding.
  • Operate forklifts and condors.
  • Fabrication/Welding/Cutting/Plumbing.
  • Perform equipment PMs and maintenance tasks unsupervised.
  • Report problems accurately to the appropriate people.
  • Read blueprints, technical manuals, and instructions to maintain and make repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical circuits, limit switches, push buttons, and solenoids.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic circuits.
  • Read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and make repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks unsupervised.
  • Complete and singly perform PMs and responsive repairs in the core room, finishing, and chop saw areas.
  • Thread and run PVC and black pipe.
  • Perform all paperwork properly in relation to responsibilities.
  • Repair equipment in all areas of the plant with minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot various types of pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot advanced hydraulic systems, including servo and proportional valves and thermographs.
  • Read, understand, and follow hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
  • Create, fabricate, and build complex projects with or without prints.
  • Fit and run PVC, black pipe, and hydraulic tubing.
  • Train Maintenance personnel in Levels 2 and 3.
  • Repair all equipment in all areas of the plant unsupervised.
  • Start up / shut down all plant equipment.
  • Cycle all plant equipment as needed.
  • Take charge of repair / rebuild projects.
  • Must follow lock-out procedures.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with PLC.

The job requires walking, crouching, climbing, and lifting objects over 40 pounds. Operating machinery and hazardous substances.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee frequently is exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
